I like Dr. Yuk’s teaching. He is a nice person and willing to answer all the answers students asked. He is familiar with the lecture materials and explain them clearly. As a non-EE student but need to know EM in my research, I feel the lectures are just in the good difficulties. I learned a lot about EM. The HFSS workshop are really good for me to learn a new software. The weakness for this class is it seems we spent too many lectures in chapter 6 and 8, almost all the time after the midterm. Kelvin is an outstanding technical engineer. He has a deep understanding of Microwave/RF theory with an uncanny ability to apply practical knowledge into solving real world problems. He is excellent at developing and communicating a clear and concise plan when it comes to working on projects. Kelvin is also a team player and excellent person to work with.

Dr. Yuk was very helpful during office hours and would provide clear answers to any questions we had. Any time a confusing question was asked in office hours, he was able to simplify the answer to create a clear and organized solution with the reasoning behind why each step was taken when solving the problem. In addition, he provided assistance and guidance when a student was struggling with the material by giving them study tips and reviewing key concepts.
