His exams are based on problem-solving rather than number-crunching or student-tricking, which is good. His method of solving out problems through lecture is convenient and his advice to students on how to be successful in the class is helpful too. Practicing the notes, as he suggests, does help.

9.5/10 Kelvin is strict, but very knowledgeable. He explains things well and is available when you need him to help. His experience TA-in and with material, along with his approach to teaching the material makes him an excellent TA.

Instructor presented information in a clear a organized fashion that was easy to follow. He was readily available before class or during office hours to take questions and seemed like he wanted his students to understand the material, not just memorize. Great instructor, one of my favorites so far in Davis.
