Providing a variety of Services For our Clients

IP and Legal

Let us be your trusted partner in the RF/microwave industry, offering a comprehensive suite of consulting services tailored to meet the unique IP/legal challenges your business faces.

Product Development

We can guide, audit or develop from scratch the electrical, mechanical and thermal characteristics of your device.

Debug and Revise

Taking your design and conducting a thorough analysis to find the underlying issue and fix your product.

Unbiased Testing

We are experienced in configuring customized setups for measuring small signal S-parameters, large-signal power, noise figure and DC parameters. We are also familiar with industry-standard protocol for measuring linearity, noise, stability, mismatch, ESD, reliability and thermal behavior.

Prototyping

We possess unique skills in RF tuning which can only be accrued through years of experience. During the product development cycle, it is critical to maintain a tightly integrated design, test, measure and tuning flow.

Professional Training

Whether you’re seeking to enhance your team’s capabilities, optimize technical processes, or integrate RF and microwave technology into your products, we have the expertise to craft a training program that precisely fits your goals.

Design and Simulation

advanced simulation tools to design, analyze and debug

Linear and Nonlinear

RF and microwave circuits are challenging to design due to the nonlinear operation of the active devices. The latest harmonic balance RF and microwave simulation tools are used to solve complex problems and pave the way for design realization for fast prototyping. Small-signal, large-signal, noise, load-pull are all made possible with the use of nonlinear simulation tools.

Physical Design

Synthesizing the design from a circuit representation to physical form is a critical stage in realizing your designs. In many respects, layout is an art form and the device performance relies on the quality of models, layout technique and design feedback to create a producible part. Physical realization will allow the tuning and optimization within our high-performance test infrastructure.

Electromagnetic Computation

Real-world designs are plagued with parasitics and electromagnetic radiation. Design feedback obtained from 3D EM sims is essential in eliminating “surprises” that may arise due to imperfect models. This is especially true for compact designs , where high-frequency cross-talk corrupts the circuit’s intended operation. 3D EM sims are also critical for 3D structures such as antennas and waveguides where precise field computations are needed.

System Modeling

No system can be fully characterized without the proper theoretical modeling and simulation. The foundation for which a fully-function system is built upon requires comprehensive mathematics and visualization.

Prototyping

prototyping CAPABILITY FOR r&d.

PCB prototyping

We operate a LPKF Protomat S62 60,000 RPM PCB mill for prototyping high performance microwave circuits for industrial applications.  In-house PCB prototyping is advantageous for non-standard materials such as Rogers and Taconic as well as for confidential development.  We also use the mill for transistor test fixture fabrication and antenna prototyping.

SMD assembly and PCB tuning

Echoic Engineering is also an expert in RF PCB tuning and can only be learned through years of experience.  During the product development cycle, it is critical to maintain a tightly integrated design, test, measure and tuning flow.  The shorter this iterative loop is, the faster the design specifications will be met.  Fortunately, Echoic Engineering has the capability to perform all SMD assembly and PCB modification in-house and can deliver a spec-compliant part faster than others.

CNC Machining

For mechanical design, Echoic Engineering employs a CNC mill for producing prototype housings and small parts.  Our CNC mill is capable of milling 6061 aluminum, wood and plastics

3D Printing

Our 3D printer prints on PLA plastic and can produce prototypes prior to sending out to a professional-grade printer.

Popular Question From Clients

Echoic Engineering is here to support your product development.

Can Echoic Engineering help?

Echoic Engineering will tailor a solution to meet your specific needs. Please contact us with a brief description of your requirements and we will get back to you with an assessment. Our main service is in RF / microwave product revision including mechanical, board and BOM revision. During this process we will also tackle any electrical performance issues that you may be experiencing (ESD, EMI, spec compliance). We can also conduct a full BOM review and identify issues with unknown components to verify the proper operation of procured parts.

Where do I begin?

Reach out anytime by Contact Form, email or phone to start a discussion about your specific situation. If the design challenge you are facing fits within our capabilities, we will reach out to set up a video call for an in-depth discussion. Oftentimes our projects are of a sensitive nature. In that case we can work with a client’s NDA or draft one to initiate discussions.

How do we work?

Once we have established an agreement, we can receive your files and documents or physical parts and begin a detailed analysis of your part. Analysis methods can include reverse engineering, simulation, testing and tuning. We can then provide data, a detailed report and recommended steps to alleviate the issue. We can also source parts directly from 3rd party vendors at the client’s expense.

What Are Your Terms and Conditions?

Echoic Engineering operates as a contract-based consultancy. No matter how big or small your needs are, we will be able to draft a contract to specifically address the project tasks and concerns.
